Dolly Stomps her Boots in Mayfair

It was a boot-stomping good time Monday night at 1pm SLT as Dolly Parton (tayla Tigerfish) moved into the sim a singing her tunes on the concert stage. Accompaning the performance by our favorite blonde was Snak3y Tryce, Wiccy Shackleton, and Regent Parx. The concert was scheduled for you by Wiccy Shackleton.

Singing favorites like "I'm Gone" and "Jolene" Dolly drew a crowd of country music lovers with their cowboy hats and plaid shirts a dancing to the tunes and kicking up straw.

Wedding Bells Ring in Kensington

Sunday, May 30th at 1pm SLT, London's own tayla Tigerfish and Snak3y Tryce tied the knot.

The wedding was held in Kensington's beautiful St. Mary Abbot's church and was officiated by Regent Parx. Giving the bride away on her special day was Billy Arentire. The church was graced with the presence of Wendy Helstein, Eveshka Blackheart and spirit Bigboots who acted as Maids of Honor, while Wiccy Shackleton and Torric Rodas held the place of Best Men.

The mood was light hearted, playful, and loving as the couple exchanged vows let by Regent Parx and then recited their own, which they had written themselves.

Ending and idyllic night was a dance nearby in a tent set up for the special occasion.

Ghosting: How to Get Back in on the Grid

Have you logged out one evening and come back the next day just to see the same responsless avatar you said hello to last night? Wonder what happened to him? It may be a case of ghosting... and it's not a bad idea to know what to do in case the problem arises for you.

Occasionally when you crash or log out on your pc, you may not be fully logged out of of SL. The next time you attempt to log in to SL you will get a message that the system is logging you out and your account will not be available for a certain amount of time. Usually this is resolved within a few minutes, as the system dumps its memory. But occasionally, in the case of ghosting, an avatar can get stuck in limbo for hours, or even a couple of days... unable to log back in until the system resets or their is a sim restart to refresh things.

So what can you do if this error keeps you out of SL? Go to http://www.secondlife.com/ and log into your account. At the top right of your screen there is a help menu that allows you the option of "Submit a Ticket." Select this. On the next screen you will get some frequently asked questions with their answers and a clickable option to submit a trouble ticket. Click the link to pull up a ticket and submit. Be sure to provide the error message and the last region you were logged into to help speed up the process. Linden Labs should be able to resolve your issue for you so that you are logging back in in no time.

The Rolling Stones Roll Through London...

The neon lights and fog blurred the stage and fans moved to the beat as once again, Bogies Jazz Club of London rolled into Hyde Park with a hit show. The Rolling Stones were the main act Sunday, May 16th, and there was an appreciative crowd there to enjoy it.

Her Majesty's Theatre Opens in Westminster

Saturday was an exciting day for the residents of Westminster as the brand new building based on Her Majesty's Theatre arrived in the region.

A crowd gathered on a specially build grandstand to see this enormous building land from its platform high in the sky.

The Queen was unable to attend the event, so the ceremony was conducted by the wonderfully regal Westminster Lionheart complete with crown and scepter.

The crowd was so in awe of Billy Arentire's latest design that a street party just kind of started by itself with London legend Regent Parx spinning 1960's and 70's music.

A fun time was had by all and special thanks to the Mayhem Dance Club for moving their club to the street party where everyone danced until the small hours.

The building based upon "Her Majesty's" houses 4 stores which are now available for businesses to trade from.

Sunday night's Abba concert and 2,000 Linden contest held in Hyde Park was a hit, thanks to the great turnout from London's friends and residents.

London staff was groovin' it as the Abba quartet with Wiccy Shackleton as "Benny," snak3y Tryce as "BJorn," tayla Tigerfish as "Agnetha," and SaraOlong Baxton as "Anni-Frid." Regent Parx made an appearance as well playing piano

Thanks to all those who generously donated their hard earned Lindens to the donation boxes. 100% of those Lindens went to the London Sims, and your support for the park is greatly appreciated.
