Happy Birthday DJ Prettybones!!

Tuesday was a special day, as DJ Prettybones had a birthday party to celebrate her RL birthday!  Retrograde Manager and DJ Croft provided the following report and entry on the special events of that day:

11th October in RetroGrade we had 2 events:

The first event was BEST IN ARMY and the prize quickly rose to L$2089. This first part of the evening was a short (by RetroGrade Standards) 2 hrs long

Then we started the 2nd event to celebrate Prettybones RL birthday.
The board was re-opened as BEST IN WHATEVER and the prize quickly rose to L$2000 and at 2pm SLT we introduced our Special Guest DJ  who turned out to be DJ Smiffy making his RetroGrade and indeed London debut

 The place filled up quickly. The chat was random and surreal for most of the night. The contest board was filling up. And by the end of the evening, Prettybones was one year older

Retrograde Tribute to Amy Whinehouse

The death of Amy Whinehouse affected all of her fans, even her Second Life ones.  Yesterday, Retrograde put on a tribute event in honor of Whinehouse.  VIP's were asked to wear black and the 2 hour set consisted of all of Amy Whinehouse's songs, played by DJ PrincessHighsmith.  Below are photos from the tribute event:

Retrograde is Now a Secondlife Destinations Club!!

London is pleased to announce that Retrograde is now a Secondlife Destinations Club!  This makes London's FIFTH club venue that is in Seconlife Destinations!  Kudos to Retrograde managers Croft Atolia and Donna Redrose for their hard work in making this possible!  Special kudos to all the Retrograde DJs and Hosts as well!

Take a Ride in the Time Tunnel....

Every Monday, London's favorite retro club, Retrograde, takes you back in time to different decades of music!  The DJ is none other than London Choon Master and Three Peat King Croft!  Along with host Donna, this ride down music memory lane is always most memorable!  Check out photos from today's Time Tunnel, featuring music from 1964, 1977, 1980, and 1993:

DJ Croft's 3-Peat

 You may know DJ Croft, as being the manager of Retrograde, but he also is the current 3-Peat King of Hyde Park!  How did Croft earn this title?  By crashing Hyde Park 3 straight times in the park, each time during the 10am to 12pm slt shift.  While other London DJ's have crashed the park, none have crashed it each time they have djed.  Kudos to DJ Croft for this awesome record, be sure to check him out at Retrograde in Knightsbride, as he takes you for a ride aboard his awesome Choon Choon Train!

10,000L Split Photo Contest at 5th Avenue!

5^th Avenue is now having a split 10,000L Photo Contest!  Contestants simply have to tp into 5^th Avenue, which is located in the Knightsbridge Sim, pay 5 lindens (to combat bots illegally entering) and they are then entered.  If you do enter the contest you can allow your profile photo to be shown on the photo board or you can follow the instructions and on the photo board you choose, to learn how to enter a photo of your choice.  The contest is limited to 30 contestants and you must be a member of the 5^th Avenue VIP Group in order to enter.  After all slots are full, voting will start in the contest.  Please contact jessii2009 Warrhol, 5^th Avenue Owner, if you have any questions or comments.

London has a vibrant day and nightlife, with at least one club open between the hours of 10 am to 8pm slt during the week and 10 am to 10 pm slt on Friday and Saturdays!  5th Avenue offers a late night alternative to those of you who are seeking the London nightlife.  Located across from our replica of Harrods, in our Knightsbridge, 5th Avenue offers 2 hour sets which are a mixture of top 40s, pop, rock, and anything you request!

Welcome Retrograde..Goodbye A-List

Saturday 5th Feb 2011 we said goodbye to the A-List one last time.
We had a Devils contest. People turning up in various devil outfits and partying the night away to Crofty's oldies music. Then the transformation took place. To reflect the musical style we have and to show our status as London's #1 for oldies, we are becoming RetroGrade.
Opening up our doors Monday 7th Feb 2011 at 12pm SL time and we will be continuing the final theme of the A-List and having as RetroGrade's first theme.... Angels. The music will as ever be drawn from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's and maybe one or two new ones thrown in for good measure. Always assured of friendly staff and guests, pop along and check us out. opening up every night 7 days a week 12pm SL time.

5th Avenue is Now in London!

On Tuesday, London welcomed its newest club, 5th Avenue Club and Lounge, which was already a Secondlife Destination. 5th Avenue will offer live DJ's and contests from 4pm slt until 10 pm slt! While building of the new club is still a work in progress, 5th is already up and running! Below are photos of the grand opening:

Metallica Tribute Concert Rocks Knightsbridge!

The Metallica Tribute band rocked Knightsbridge today on Brompton Road! At peak the tribute concert had 51 avis packed into that Harrod's like building! Below is a photo from the event:
